Wonderful book. I found a lot of answers to my deep questions. I was able to understand fundamental terms through easy question and answer explanations. A lot of practical advice on everyday life. I can say that the spiritual information is helping me to find my place in this strange, sophisticated world. At the same time I feel it illuminates the darkness of the unknown space beyond reality. I sensed a touch of greatness while reading it.

This book is truly what its subtitle says: a practical guide to the spiritual life. Terry Moore captures the essence of Sufi teachings in pithy ways that will inspire a seeker or practitioner, no matter the person’s level of mastery. For example, his definition of God is “infinite subjectivity.” Drink that phrase in. We participate in God through our subjectivity and that is a reason why we need to engage fully in our lives, no matter our circumstances. The wisdom of this book is inescapable. Reading it just once, or even in part, will benefit you tremendously. Don’t miss the opportunity.

The two words that best describe this book are “immediacy” and “intimacy”. The author speaks from a place of intense and powerful awareness of the fundamental unity of all reality but what is of infinitely more value for his readers is that he provides “practical” advice to allow them to see and experience this unity for themselves. The reason “practical” is in quotations marks is that it is often contrasted with “ideal”, but the incredible nature of this book is that it makes the ideal practicable in our daily lives, allowing the breath of Eternity to shine through every single moment we experience. In short, the value of this book is inestimable for the serious seeker.

  • About the Book

In Here, Now, One Terry Moore has given us—whether we are experienced practitioners or comparative newcomers—an extraordinarily helpful guide to integrating spirituality into our daily lives. From within a Sufi paradigm, Terry’s inspiring admixture of mysticism and sheer practicality can be used within the framework of almost any religion.

Don’t mistake this universality across cultures, doctrines and practices for a lightweight cherry-picking expedition, though. We are not being invited to leave the bits we don’t like on the side of our plate, but we are being informed and guided by a wisdom garnered over years of study, exploration and practice. Terry shares the value of techniques and the philosophies that underpin them with an emphasis on the constant interplay between the inner life and the outer life.

As Terry says: “My only interest here is in being of principial or practical help to my fellow travelers as we journey from our illusion of separativity to the reality of the One.

And this ‘knowing’ is our self, aware presence. In other words, all that is ever experienced is our self knowing itself,
awareness aware of awareness.
